Gloucester Sunrise

I had Good Friday off from work and decided it would be a good time to try and get a photo of the full moon coming up over the Atlantic Ocean.  I made reservations for a hotel right on the beach in Gloucester, MA with a view of the ocean.  I had grand plans for being on the beach with a bright orange moon coming up but mother nature had different plans.  The wind was gusting 50+ mph and kicking up sand all over the place.  Luckily the room had a balcony and I got a few shots of the moon before giving up to watch some March Madness games.  The wind was so loud that I kept having to turn up the TV.  I decided to get up early the next morning to see if the wind had calmed down while hoping for a beautiful sunrise.  I went 1-for-2.  The wind was still howling but the sunrise was gorgeous.  The Thatcher Island "twin" lighthouses are shown in this photo as seen from the balcony.
